2024

The 4nd Transnational Meeting of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place in Bucharest, Romania, on February 25-26, 2024. The final project meeting aimed to discuss finalization of the project and preparation of the final project report.


The multiplier event of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place in Jurbarkas, Lithuania, on February 28, 2024. The event partner was Jurbarko Antano Giedraičio-Giedriaus gimnazija. The results of the project were presented during the even with regional youth and the interactive event methods were used. After the event of participants were granted with Youthpass Certificate.


The multiplier event of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place in Utena, Lithuania, on January 30, 2024. The event partner was Utenos visuomeninių jaunimo organizacijų sąjunga "Apskritas stalas". The results of the project were presented during the even with regional youth and the interactive event methods were used. After the event of participants were granted with Youthpass Certificate.


2023

Annual international conference of NGO EUROPA, BIRD is a member of, took place in on November 24, 2023, in Limoges, France. This year conference was focusing on the sports public policy in Europe. BIRD's director Eglė Stonkutė participated in discussions.


Open lectures on cultural entrepreneurship took place on 13 and 20 September, 2023, at 11:30-12:40, online. Everybody interested in cultural entrepreneurship were invited to participate. On 13 September issues of cultural entrepreneurship and innovation were discussed, while on 20 September best practices and main challenges for foreigners to open a business in Lithuania were presented. The open lectures were organized as events of Erasmus+ project "CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307).


The Training of Trainers of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place in Bilbao, Spain, on July 15-22, 2023. The training of trainers aimed to offer to the 24 participants from the partner countries the opportunity to learn about cultural entrepreneurship education for young immigrants.
The main goals of the event were:
-to improve youth workers skills and knowledge to develop cultural entrepreneurship mindset,
-to empower youth workers with tools & methods to successfully deliver cultural entrepreneurship trainings for young people & young immigrants,
-to test the Handbook & Curriculum,
-to define new initiatives to continue tackling the young immigrants’ self-employment measures.
Each participant received at the end of the project the Youthpass Certificate.


The 3nd Transnational Meeting of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place in Sestao, Spain, on June 1-2, 2023. During the meeting these topics were discussed: upcoming organization of the training of trainers, finalization of curriculum and finalization of the change of the project partners.


2022

The 2nd Transnational Meeting of the project "“CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307) took place place in Rome, Italy, on December 12-13, 2022. The second project meeting aims to discuss the first draft of the Handbook; the start of Curriculum elaboration; and Learning Campaign implementation. Also, the meeting will assess the Participatory Visits (C1, C2, C3) and overall project implementation.

BIRD's director Eglė Stonkutė participated and contributed by her presentation on incoherence of Lithuania's public tourism policy in challenging times.


Open lectures on cultural entrepreneurship took place on 16 and 23 November, 2022, at 11:00-12:30, room 404, Vytautas Magnus University, Daukanto str. 28, Kaunas. Everybody interested in cultural entrepreneurship were invited to participate. On 16 November issues of cultural entrepreneurship and innovation were discussed, while on 23 November best practices and main challenges for foreigners to open a business in Lithuania were presented. The open lectures were organized as events of Erasmus+ project "CULTURE: CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants” (Project No.: 2021-2-LT02-KA220-YOU-000048307).


Participatory Visit to Association for the Promotion of Traditions will took place on October 6-8, 2022, Timosoara, Romania, while implementing the Erasmus+ project "CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants". The visit was be dedicated to exploring the best practices in Romania in the field of cultural entrepreneurship of young immigrants.


Participatory Visit to Italy took place on August 1-3, 2022, Rome, Italy, while implementing the Erasmus+ project "CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants". The visit will be dedicated to exploring the best practices in Italy in the field of cultural entrepreneurship of young immigrants.


We have been selected to join in to the 4th Public Participation and Deliberative Democracy Festival organized by the European Commission and to host the online round table "On the same boat with young immigrants". The round table will take place on 20th October, 2022, at 15:00-16:00 Brussels time. The round table's discussion is inspired and originates from our international project Erasmus+ project "CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants".   • “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed,” wrote Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in “The Little Prince”. Once we cherish our deliberative democracy values that in turn attract people from other parts of the world to migrate, we become responsible for their being here with us. Don‘t they become our friends and family members, maybe younger ones, and from that moment they are unique for us? Let‘s discuss the being-on-the-same-boat with young immigrants while finding inspiration for the discussion from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince”.


Participatory Visit to Baltic Institute for Research and Development took place on June 9-11, 2022, Vilnius, Lithuania, while implementing the Erasmus+ project "CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants". The visit will be dedicated to exploring the best practices in Lithuania in the field of cultural entrepreneurship of young immigrants.


The kick-of meeting of the Erasmus+ project "CULTural entrepreneURship Education for young immigrants" took place on 8-9 April 2022 in Vilnius. Projects partners: IASD – Asociacion para la Integration Social y el Desarrollo (Spain), Asociatia pontru Prmovaera Traditiiloo (Romania), Associazione di Volontariato INCREDERE (Italy).


We joined the discussion on "The War in Ukraine: the Perception of Central and Eastern Europe" ("La guerre en Ukraine vue de l'Europe Central et Orientale") on 29 march 2022 at 17:00 (Brussels time; in french) organized by the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium.
